Packing Secrets
When I stumbled upon this ebook titled “Packing Secrets - The Ultimate Packing Guide For Travelers” written by a gentleman named Michael Furniss, my first thought was - Wow ! That’s not an easy claim to live up to. Being a frequent traveler, and always searching for travel and luggage-related information, I had read hundreds of articles on the internet on packing luggage and at least 5 books, so I was curious as to what new information this book had to offer me.
The first thing I noticed was the length of the ebook - 232 pages, which is quite long for an ebook. I couldn’t help thinking to myself - this better not be 32 pages of information wrapped around 200 pages of filler and fluff.
A quick glance at the Table of Contents and my fears were drastically allayed. The book was divided into 6 logical categories :
1. Buying the Best Luggage
2. Dresses to Bring With You
3. Planning
4. Coming Home
5. Miscellaneous Tips
6. Resources
Each of these categories was further sub-divided into well-organized subcategories, making the information very easy to find, since the Table of Contents had hyperlinks to the corresponding sections in the book.
The author’s writing style had a nice and easy conversational flow to it, with just the right touch of humor. Once I began reading, I began to realise what a great resource this book was. Each section contained lots of useful guidelines, tips, and even specific product recommendations in some cases.
My favorite section was the “Planning” chapter, since we often ignore to plan for packing luggage. More often than not, for most of us it’s a last minute exercise. In this section, you will see how proper planning can contibute in a major way to help you pack lighter and more efficiently.
Another neat feature in this ebook are the various lists. Here are a few that I loved :
- What to wear on a plane
- 10 steps to no-stress packing
- 10 carry-on tips
- Pretrip to-do lists
- Night before to-do list
- Carry-on Musts
- Carry-on No-Nos
The “Coming Home” section gave me a lot of great ideas. Basically, it gives you a lot of tips on how to re-pack before you leave your destination to travel back home. There were some things I had never thought of, but made a lot of sense as I read them. I’m definitely going to put these tips into practice the next time I’m coming home !
The “Miscellaneous Tips” section addresses one of the most common concerns regarding luggage regulations - Airline Baggage Limits. You’ll learn what to carry, what not to carry, and how much you can carry in your carry-on and checked luggage. There’s also a short section on how to handle lost luggage.
Finally, the “Resources” section contains a list of useful travel-related links such as flight booking engines, online maps, country calling codes, travel advisory sites, travel magazines (both online and print) and much more.
Overall a great read and JAM-PACKED with 232 pages of information that you can put to use right away when packing for your next trip.
Since this is an ebook, you can download it instantly, and even start reading it 5 minutes from now !
When you buy the Packing Secrets book, you get 2 extra valuable BONUSES along with it :
1. 79 Travel Tips So You Can Travel Smarter and Safer - This is a compilation of travel tips contributed by readers of the Packing Secrets book. This bonus adds great value and you’ll find tips by travelers based on their actual experiencees of what works best for them.
2. The 6 Most Popular Ways To Call Home When Traveling - Useful info if you plan on using a cell phone to stay in touch with your contacts back home, if you’re out of the country during a trip. The author is plugging his own mobile service product with this book, but that service looks like a good one having received many positive reviews. In any case, the content of this book is still helpful, and you can ignore the cell service recommendation if you like.
At just $27, I’d say Packing Secrets - The Ultimate Packing Guide For Travelers offers real value for the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this to anyone looking to put an end to bulging suitcases and other luggage problems.
To top it off, Michael offers a 100% no questions asked money back guarantee if you are not satisfied (highly unlikely), so you have nothing to lose.
